STATEMENT REGARDING COVID-19
The Southwestern Conference Center continues to place the health and safety of our clients, guests, visitors, and employees as our top priority. We follow the recommended health safety guidance, protocols, and restrictions imposed on businesses from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Tennessee Health Department (TN.gov), and Nashville Metro Public Health Department. We have taken additional cleaning, disinfecting, sanitizing, and social distancing steps and precautions to enhance our safety posture.
Currently, our offices remain open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We appreciate your understanding and your patience during this ongoing health emergency. Outlined below are our virus and infection control protocols:
Health and Safety Precautions
The Southwestern Conference Center recommends guests stay informed on COVID-19. Resources include:
-
Centers for Disease Control
Recommendations to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases like COVID-19 are as follows:
-
Adhere to the 6-foot Social Distancing recommendation from the CDC.
-
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
-
Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
-
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
-
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
-
Stay home when you are sick.
-
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
-
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
Guests and Visitors:
The Southwestern Family of Companies (SWFC) will continue to comply with Mayor John Cooper's Executive Order regarding his "Roadmap for Reopening Nashville." On September 24th, Mayor Cooper announced that the COVID metrics support Nashville moving into Phase Three.
To that end, Landers Plaza will move into Phase Three on Thursday, October 1st, 2020. We will enforce Phase Three restrictions as they relate to events in the Conference Center including:
-
No gatherings over 25 people without an approved event plan from Metro Public Health.
-
The link to the application can be found here.
-
Approved events can occur at 30% capacity up to a max of 500 people. Masks are required.
-
ALL Employees and Visitors must continue to wear a cloth face covering or masks.
-
ALL Employees and Visitors must continue to be screened daily for temperatures higher than 100.4.
-
Maintain 6 feet between each individual.
-
Individuals should frequently wash their hands after touching exposed surfaces.
At Landers Plaza, we are still taking precautionary measures to ensure cleanliness by increasing the cleaning and disinfecting of the surfaces in the building's common areas, including handrails, elevator buttons, door handles, and bathroom surfaces. If an employee or visitor exhibits signs and symptoms of a virus, they will be sent home, those who were in close contact will be notified, and a cleaning team will clean and disinfect the space. See attached CDC guidelines on cleaning and disinfecting.
Food & Beverage
For catered events, we recommend single packaged items or boxed meals. Any individually packaged food or beverage item may be self-served, but individual items must be placed a minimum of 2 inches apart and clearly labeled to avoid/reduce customer touchpoints.
Buffets can only be done if served by a COVID-trained server wearing gloves and a mask. Patrons will not be allowed to “self-serve” bulk items from buffets.
Recommendations for Event Organizers
In addition, we encourage each of our clients/event organizers to…
-
Have all of their attendees complete a health screening form in advance of the event and review the forms to ensure that all of their visitor’s attendance is approved. The form should be done each day for the duration of the event.
-
To bring additional masks in the event an attendee does not have one.
-
Organizer should place course materials, handouts, and other supplies on the attendee’s table prior to the start of the event.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Southwestern Conference Center soon.
Stay Safe. Stay Healthy.
